Referral Points

Learning Resources employees are often approached with concerns that are not directly associated with the Library or tutoring and should be directed to another College department.

All Learning Resources employees must comply with College Operating Procedure 7.1: Handling Student Complaints Concerning Instructor/Instruction

For Students

Course Grade Concerns-  Refer the student to the Student Affairs Office: (386) 312-4127. Petitions and forms are available on each campus.

Orange Park Campus - Front Office/Administration - (904) 276-6800

Course Instructor Concerns - If a student complains that an instructor is not checking into an online class, is ignoring their email, is not grading their work, or another issue concerning conduct of class, refer the student to the Academic Affairs Office: (386) 312-4225. 

Harassment/Mistreatment/Discrimination Concerns - If a student feels an instructor or any College employee is mistreating them in any way, refer the student to the Human Resources Office: (386) 312-4070.

Testing or Proctoring Services - Refer patrons to the Testing Department at (386) 312-4228 or TestingCenter@sjrstate.edu. 

Dual Enrollment Services - Including inquiries about textbooks for Dual Enrollment Students. Refer the student to the SJR State Dual Enrollment office at: (386) 312-4136.

Disability Services and Assistive Technology - Visit http://www.sjrstate.edu/disabledstudents.html and refer the student to the Campus Disability Coordinator or email Advising@sjrstate.edu.

Concerns Regarding Treatment from Other Students - Refer the student to the Student Affairs Office: (386) 312-4127.
