Department Policies

The Learning Resources Department includes the Library and Tutoring services.

View the Learning Resources section of the SJR State Catalog and Handbook for a brief overview of policies affecting registered students. The policies governing the operations of the Learning Resources Department are provided in their entirety below. 

Policies are vetted by Department employees, submitted for review and approval to the SJR State Learning Resources Committee and the Academic Affairs Curriculum Committee for submission to the College's Institutional Planning Committee (IPC). Once reviewed and approved by the IPC, policies are submitted for consideration by the College's Board of Trustees

Adding Library Users

Door counter - 

  • At the top of each hour, staff checks the counter, divides the number in half (because it counts people going in and out), and records that number on the door counter tracker that's kept at the desk.
  • After recording the number, staff resets the counter for the next hour using the magnet.
  • Every Sunday, the Shift Lead enters the figures for the previous week onto the door count Excel file for their campus. This file is on the Z drive.
