CROI calendar
In LibApps, open LibCal
- Click Events
- Click the CROI - Course Related Outreach & Instruction calendar
- Click the date of the class you are visiting
- DO NOT CREATE FROM SCRATCH – select CROI from the menu

- After your visit, remember to go back to the CROI calendar, click your event, and enter the number of students in the Actual Attendance box. Click Save.
Hiring Part-timers
- Christina submits the Job Vacancy form to HR.
- When you are notified by HR that the job has posted, begin checking for applications. You will not be notified when someone applies so check regularly. Instructions for doing so will be attached to the email. (Go to MySJRstate - Employee - Human Resources - Application Review)
- For each applicant, leave comments - namely their qualifications. If you don't think an applicant is a good fit, simply put Reviewed as the comment.
- The ASC or Campus Library Manager is now the lead at this point in the process. While all committee members should check for applications regularly, the ASC or Campus Library Manager may contact interview committee members as needed to have them review applications.
- Once committee members have reviewed applications and agreed on people to interview, contact Christina if she has not reviewed the applicants so she can do so.
- Once all the committee members have commented on the applicants, the ASC or Campus Library Manager completes the "Applicant Request for Interviews" form. If it wasn't emailed to you, get it on the Z drive.
- The ASC (for tutors) or Campus Library Manager (for library assistants) is listed as Chair.
- See if Christina will participate in the interviews before listing her as a participant.
- When listing dates and times, remember to include the room number where the interview will be held. This is required for the public notice that HR will generate.
- Save the form as a pdf and email it to Courtney Mattox along with a copy of the interview questions (you must use the approved questions that are stored on the Z drive). Courtney will arrange the interview(s).
- During the interview, do not ask any questions besides those listed on the department's document.
- After the interviews are finished, the Chair meets with the interview committee and completes an Applicant Appraisal form for each person interviewed. (This Excel form should have been emailed to you but is also posted on the Z drive.) Sign and date each form and save them as pdfs.
- Once an applicant has been selected by the committee for the position, the Chair emails the Applicant Appraisal form(s) to Christina along with the recommendation.
- Christina emails HR to recommend the applicant for hire.
- HR verifies the applicant's references. Once confirmed, HR will offer the position to the applicant and will notify us of the outcome via email.
LibStaffer and Rehires
Part-time tutor schedules must be entered in LibStaffer. Each semester, Christina will ask you for your rehires for the next semester. You need to provide the exact number of work hours per semester for each of your part-time employees - use LibStaffer to get that figure.
