Services & Resources for Students

This guide features resources available to current SJR State students from the Library, the Academic Support Center, and the College at large.

LIVE HELP

ONLINE

SJR State Librarians, Math Tutors, Science Tutors, and Writing Coaches are online Monday - Friday while classes are in session to help you via chat & screen sharing/video conference. For video conferences, a real-time transcript generated by Otter.ai will be available during the session. The Learning Resources Department does not retain the transcripts produced during live online sessions - you are encouraged to save the transcript yourself at the end of the session.

Chat with a Librarian

Chat with a Writing Coach, a Math Tutor, or a Biological Sciences Tutor

After hours, you can get live online tutoring from tutor.com. And the statewide Ask-A-Librarian service provides library & research help via chat & text  from 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday - Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

IN PERSON

Visit a campus Library or ASC anytime for in-person help from a Librarian or a math tutor. Science & writing tutors have special hours. See below.
