Faculty's Guide to Canvas

tutor.com Information for Faculty

  • tutor.com is accessible to our students only through the link in Canvas
  • Faculty can view class data on their Client Portal - just click the tutor.com link in Canvas
  • Subjects are aligned with and listed by Florida's common course numbering system
  • Tutors are fully vetted  
  • Students are given 300 minutes of tutor.com service per semester. If a student runs out of minutes, they will see this message: It looks like you have reached your maximum time limit. Please contact your instructor. If a student contacts you and needs time added to their account in tutor.com, please have them send a message to Library@sjrstate.libanswers.com Students can expect a reply while this email address is monitored Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday * a.m. - 5 p.m.

Client Portal

All faculty members have access to a Client Portal that provides information about students' use of tutor.com

When you click the tutor.com link within Canvas, you will first see the tutor.com interface that students interact with.

Look at the blue bar at the top of the screen. Click Take me to the Client Portal to access data about your class.
