Respondus 4.0

Respondus 4.0 is a quiz building tool that you have access to in order to build quizzes to import into Canvas or can be printed on to paper. Using Respondus 4.0 also gives you access to publisher quiz banks in order to assist you in building your Canvas Quizzes and exams.

Respondus Lockdown Browser

Respondus Lockdown Browser is a tool that adds a layer of security to your quizzes and exams by locking out external tools in order to reduce cheating.

Lockdown Browser reduces cheating in the following ways:

• disabling videoconferencing tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
• disabling remote support tools
• by locking the student inside the browser to prevent browsing to other sites

These are the supported platforms for your students to use Lockdown Browser: 

• Windows 10
• Windows 11
• MacOS 10.12+
• iPadOS 11.0+ (Must be turned on in the Lockdown Browser course settings.)
• Chromebooks

Respondus Monitor is an add-on to Respondus Lockdown Browser and adds an extra layer of security in order to reduce cheating.
