I Want Faculty to Use the Library

Physical Resources

Faculty are automatically eligible to borrow SJR State Library materials – no application is needed. The SJR State Library offers four types of Resource Sharing Services: Inter-Campus Loan (ICL), UBorrow, Inter-Library Loan (ILL), and Reciprocal Borrowing. Contact a Librarian for help acquiring a resource from another library.

Digital Resources

Digital resources are available to all current faculty & students and can be accessed on campus or off campus. The Library's digital resources provide access to articles, streaming videos, eBooks, and unique products like Pronunciator, and Visible Body

If you access a resource through Canvas, you will not be prompted again to sign in to a resource. If you are asked to sign in, use your MySJRstate username & password.

Databases A to Z - You may also select a subject and see what resources the librarians have designated as relevant to your subject area or you may browse by type of resource.

Online Editions of Journals & Magazines licensed by the Library to support instruction

The New York Times full website & app access

The Chronicle of Higher Education full website & app access

Licensed Streaming Video

Need a film for class? Contact Dr. Christina Will, Dean of Learning Resources, and she will explore licensing options and secure the resource for you if possible. A Librarian can help you embed streaming video into Canvas or use it in the classroom.  All licensed content is closed captioned.
