Vikings Read More Challenge and Book Club

The purpose of the Vikings Read More Challenge & Book Club is to provide the SJR State community with an opportunity to address wellness, belonging, community building, and campus culture through reading and meaningful discussions.

How to get involved!

Let's face it - we are all busy! That's why this book club is designed to allow you to participate as much, or as little, as you want.

Ways to get involved

Challenge Yourself: If you are hoping to read more and don't know where to start then the Vikings Read More Challenge might work for you. Each month is designated with a broad theme- your task is to pick a book and start reading! Not sure what book to choose- visit the pages for each monthly theme for recommendations from the SJR State Library collection. Still not sure? Contact your Bookish Librarian, Brittnee Fisher, for help with selecting a title that works for you!

Track your reading using this nifty book tracking document that was designed specifically for this challenge!

Join a discussion: Monthly book club meetings will be held at each campus library during the Spring 2023 semester.

Join us to discuss the book you are currently reading, meet other readers, or to get help choosing your next title. These informal meetings will give us all an opportunity to grow as readers- so whether you are an avid book worm or just getting started- these meetings will be a safe place to grow. Any reader and any book welcome!
