Launch issues
Launching Visible Body via a web browser is not as fast as expected. What can I do?
The first time you launch the application, your browser will automatically download our highly detailed anatomical models. This download can take several minutes to complete, depending on the speed of your internet connection.
The newest version of Human Anatomy Atlas 2020 is significantly faster than the other web applications. Use Atlas 2020 on Chrome for the fastest load times. If you are using an older version of Human Anatomy Atlas—or any version of Muscle Premium or Anatomy & Physiology— follow the steps below.
First, confirm your computer meets the minimum system requirements.
You can find the system requirements for the web versions of the app here:
Second, confirm you have a reliable high-speed internet connection.
Broadband Cable, DSL, or other wired connections: There are many websites from internet providers and third parties available to test internet speeds. A few popular ones are listed below.
Wi-Fi: Network and signal strengths can be extremely variable depending on hardware configuration, interference, number of devices connected to the network, and activity. Reboot your modem and router and turn off other devices to ensure optimal performance.
A wired connection is best.
Third, check your browser extensions.
Certain browser extensions may prevent Visible Body's apps from successfully launching. Try turning off your browser extensions and then launch the app again.

Second, exit other applications and close browser tabs
Visible Body apps are resource-intensive. To get the best possible performance, please exit/quit other applications/programs before you launch and close additional windows and tabs in your browser.
Third, try hiding structures you don’t need.
You can also try hiding body systems and objects that you don’t need to view—performance improves with fewer visible objects in the viewing area.
Fourth, try clearing your cache and cookies.
Often times, your cache may be full or still have old data in it, or cookies could be hogging your system's resources. By clearing your cache and cookies, your browser will gather only the latest version of the web apps. This will also minimize the chances of having corrupted or incomplete data.
Lastly, try opening the application in an incognito window.
