#because2020 and beyond
In a study conducted in fall 2020, two-thirds of the faculty surveyed cited meeting the emotional and mental health needs of students as a significant source of their own stress. We have all "been thrown into the role of front-line emergency counseling” and most of us haven't been trained to serve in that role. If we had been, we wouldn't be so stressed!
Knowing how to respond to students goes a long way in reducing your own stress. This guide provides employees with tools you can share with students - actively or passively - so you can connect students with resources and services that can help them.
This guide also highlights resources meant just for you so you have the support you need in whatever roll you fill at the College.
