Practical Nursing Resources

About This Guide

Welcome to the online library guide for the LPN/Practical Nursing Program. This guide features magazines, newsletters, peer reviewed journal articles and websites with up-to-date and credible information.  It will also show you how to use library resources to locate both print and online information for your research. Once you have signed onto MySJRstate, you will be able to access all the electronic resources provided from any location on and off-campus.

How to use this Guide:

Select the tab on the left that best fits your topic to find resources to assist you in your research.  The boxes within each tab provide specific resources organized by type of material, such as books, journals, databases, and trustworthy web sites.  For example, under the "Finding Books" tab is a list of books located in our Libraries about Practical Nursing. When researching Practical Nursing topics, please keep in mind that those resources older than 5 years should not be used, unless they are used for historical information.  For additional assistance, please contact myself or another Public Services Librarian.
