Films on Demand

Films on Demand (FOD) provides over 6,000 videos appropriate for a disciplines of academic research. The SJR State Library has access to FOD's Master Academic Package and Archival Films & Newsreels Collection.


Go to If you are prompted, sign in with your MySJRstate username & password. 



The State pays a flat fee for FOD - all films available to us are free to use. However, films are culled twice annually by FOD. All faculty will be notified of deleted titles when the Library is alerted. If a title you use is on the list, tell Christina & she will try to license it for you.


Videos from FOD include public performance rights that allow them to be used in the educational setting. 


Videos are closed captioned and transcripts are provided.

Canvas Integration

Films on Demand can be embedded directly into Canvas through the LTI in Canvas. Within the editing window, click the icon for More External Tools and select Films on Demand.
