Join PBS Books as we celebrate the remarkable achievements of Judy Chicago on Tuesday, July 20th: her birthday! As an author, teacher, feminist, and activist, Chicago is unrivaled in her inventive and extraordinary approach to visual art. This conversation will be led by Jessica Porter, executive director of ArtTable, Inc. : the foremost professional organization dedicated to advancing the leadership of women in the visual arts. The discussion will center in on The Flowering: Chicago’s new autobiography, with crucial life lessons and advice about resolutely following your passions. In the book, her honest commentary provides a critically necessary update to her story of resilience, shared in previous autobiographical writings.
