Viking Exchange - Take what you need, leave what you can when you canItems for the Viking Exchange are generously donated by
SJR State employees and students.

Each campus Library accepts donations of goods any time during Library hours.

If you are interested in
donating and feeding student success, these items are always appreciated:


  • Protein - canned meats, peanut/nut butter, canned or dried beans
  • Fruit - canned, dried, fruit cups, jelly
  • Grains - pasta, rice, rice mixes, cereal, oatmeal, mac & cheese, ramen
  • Vegetables - canned, instant potatoes
  • Dairy - shelf stable milk, canned or powdered
  • Other food items - pasta sauce, soup


  • Bath soap
  • Shampoo
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Shaving cream
  • Razors
  • Deodorant
  • Feminine hygiene products


  • Pens, pencils
  • Spiral notebooks
  • Binders and notebook paper
  • Folder

All donated items must be new, unopened, and unexpired.
