Students' Guide to Canvas
Navigating Canvas
The first page you see upon logging into Canvas is the user dashboard, which has a course card view or recent activity view and shows your "To do" list, upcoming items, recent feedback and an overall grade summary for your courses. The Global Navigation Menu on the left links to courses, the calendar, the conversations inbox, and your account settings.

Course Home
Home is the first page that loads when you open a course. Instructors have five choices for Home pages: course activity stream, Modules list, Syllabus, Assignments list, or a Front page. The course Home page also includes links to what is coming up, recent feedback, and a button to access the course activity stream.
