Quick Stats

Learning Resources maintains monthly and annual statistics on a variety of usage indicators. These statistics are used for reporting purposes to state, regional, and national entities and to inform approaches to resources and services provided by the department. All data gathered is stripped of personally identifying information at the point of collection.

This page provides a quick overview of current usage statistics. SJR State's fiscal year (FY) runs July 1 - June 30. More detailed analyses are available by contacting the AVP for Learning Culture and Resources.

In FY21-22, 86% of questions answered by Library staff were asked in-person on campus. In FY21-22, 47% of users met with a librarian in-person, on campus for research help and 53% used our chat, email, phone, SMS, or video conferencing services to work with a librarian.

*SJR State began using OpenAthens to authenticate users in late 2020. To use the databases in the SJR State Library's collection, users are authenticated once per session. A session lasts until the user closes their browser entirely. During a session, a user can access an unlimited number of databases during that session.
