New Databases

CINAHL Ultimate

CINAHL Ultimate is the definitive full-text database for nursing and allied health research. It offers full-text access to a substantial portion of the most frequently cited journals in the CINAHL index, surpassing other databases. This database has 1,815 active full-text journals covering over 50 nursing specialties. Additionally, it features full-text quick lessons, evidence-based care sheets, continuing education modules, nursing instructional videos, and more.

BioDigital Human on Ovid

Often referred to as “Google Maps for the Human Body,” the BioDigital Human platform is a medically accurate, virtual map of the human body—composed of over 8,000 individually selectable anatomical structures, 600 simulated health conditions, and a toolkit to map and visualize data. This fully embeddable, cloud based software is available in eight languages, on any desktop, mobile device, or in AR/VR for use within any educational or clinical workflow.

Introducing Brainfuse- SJR State's New Tutoring Service!

 

Brainfuse is now live and has replaced Tutor.com as SJR State's online tutoring service. Students can access Brainfuse from Canvas and the Tutoring page

 

Looking for Tutoring services on campus?  SJR State students can get free tutoring in math, writing, and science in each campus Library when classes are in session. Subjects and hours vary by campus. Visit our Tutoring Services page for more information.

APA Citation Tutorial

 

APA Citation Tutorial

This tutorial provides an overview of APA style. It is an excellent place for students to start to learn about using the APA format.

Research and Resource Guides

The librarians create Research Guides or LibGuides, to guide students to quality information in a variety of areas based on subject matter or course.  The Research Guides generally include book and database recommendations as well as citation assistance, websites and more.  Contact Joyce Smith if you would like to have a Guide created for one or more of your courses.

Want to embed a film from Swank or an article from CINAHL into Canvas?  The Library now has the capability to integrate content into Canvas for you.  We can embed databases, articles, streaming videos, images, chapters and more.
