Learning Resources for Faculty

LIBRARY RESOURCES

Access to Library resources is automatically granted to all SJR State faculty during their employment and can continue after retirement upon request.

The SJR State Library’s resources include: I Want Faculty to Use the Library

  • 63,000+ books
  • 150,000+ eBooks
  • 11,000+ DVDs
  • Streaming videos
  • Online databases & digital resources
  • Print & online periodical subscriptions
  • Anatomical models for student use in the Library and online
  • Reserve collections of instructor materials
  • Computers, copiers, scanners, & printers in the Library and connected computer lab for current students, faculty, and staff
  • Webcams & headsets for completing online exams
  • Video cameras for students' class assignments
  • WiFi for current students, faculty, and staff

Faculty members are automatically eligible to borrow SJR State Library materials – no application is needed. Borrowing privileges are granted for the length of your employment with SJR State, therefore adjunct faculty’s privileges expire at the end of each semester. Faculty may borrow material from any SJR State Campus Library, Florida College System library or State University System library.

InterLibrary Loan (ILL)

Need an item that SJR State Libraries do not own? Contact Brittnee Fisher, Eric Biggs, or Beryl White-Bing.

Interlibrary Loans are helpful when:

  • You would like to review potential course materials before purchase.
  • You would like to review an item before making a request for purchase.

Please note, for interlibrary loans the loan periods and renewal policies are set by the lending libraries and will vary by item. A request for renewal must be made four days prior to the due date set by the lending library. The lending library has the right to grant or deny a renewal.
