The Orange Park Campus Library and the Academic Support Center have relocated to temporary spaces & are ready to help you! We are a little spread out around campus, but we are still able to provide you with what you need. Here are some things you need to know:
Where's the Library?
The Library is on what we are affectionately calling The Porch - the covered breezeway between the T and V buildings. You'll find the librarians & library staff there & they can answer all of your questions. The Library's hours are the same as usual. The Library is also using room V-120 for classes & to give students a place to study.
Where's the Academic Support Center (ASC)?
The Academic Support Center is in room T-114 (just behind The Porch). Its hours are the same as before - please visit the ASC site for the complete schedule of tutoring & workshops. The ASC will also use V-120 for workshops.
Where can I go to use a computer?
We are using some of the computer classrooms. You can reserve a computer online or just come in and we will get you set up!
Where can I go to study?
You can reserve a study space online or just come in and we will get you set up!
Can I still check stuff out?
Yes! DVDs and new arrivals are on The Porch & are available for immediate checkout. Instructors' Reserve materials, bones, and models are behind the desk on The Porch - library staff will give you access to those items just like before.
But... the OPC Library's other physical collections have been moved to storage. You will need to request books from the Palatka & St. Augustine Campus Libraries - items will arrive for you to pick up in a day or two. You can also request books from other colleges & pick them up here. Finding and requesting books from other libraries can all be done online and we'd be happy to show you how :)
We know these arrangements aren't perfect but we are doing our best to meet your needs while the OPC Library building is being renovated. Please come by and let us know what we can do to help you.
